World Series of Poker final to air in November
July 10th, 2008 by admin
The long days of summer mean only one thing for gamblers: It’s time for the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas.
The tournament began May 30 at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino, where it has been held in the past.
New this year, however, is that officials will suspend play on Monday with nine players to go and broadcast the final table of the Main Event No-Limit Texas Hold ‘Em tournament Nov. 11 on ESPN. The new plan is the brainchild of Jeffrey Pollack, commissioner of the WSOP. He recently sat down to talk about the format change and the performance of Bay Area players in the Main Event.
